After Sunday's sunshine , the birds starting to sing and look for nesting sites again , and a pair of Foxes mating in an elderly neighbour's garden , another couple of hopes that the 'S' word is not too far away .
Both from up on the Ridge yesterday , Primroses

and Bluebells , pushing through the leaf litter , even after all that snow .

It can't come quick enough .

I noticed the Bluebell shoots in the woods yesterday Greenie. Everthing comes......
When I see the primroses out I think they are my favorite spring flower, then when the bluebells come out.................
We got our first snowdrops in flower up here - less than a week after the last of the snow, in some places ponds are still part frozen!
Cheers
Dave
The 's-word'?
Snow?
Haven't you had enough?

If you mean Spring, Greenie. Then i`m with you on that.
I remember how much I hated every reference to the A word a few months ago, it gave me a feeling of dread! But the S word, oh my! you can't mention that enough for me :)
What a joy to see the new leaves there and particularly of my all time favourite wild flower the Primrose, just the name gives me a thrill! Thanks Greenie, a timely reminder of better things to come.
Beautiful and fantastic shot !! Simply amazing !!
